People here view marriage in a surprisingly differnt way compared to how I do, how I believe people in Sweden do it.
Here its almost considered strange if one is 35 and is still unmarried without children. This I find peculiar since I dont want to get married at all and I view children as a (much) later matter. It seems a lot of people here in the age of 27-29 have families already…
Most guys seem to grow into the role of being a dad during the pregnancy, and those who cant or dont, leave or get kicked out, but thats more difficult to do once married.
Maybe thats why! … ppl get married so the daddy has to stick around…..
that’d make some sense as to why fathers of daughters seem to want it….
I dont know.. on the way home last night there was this guy.. maybe.. 20 .. talking abt his gf, his car, job and starting a family,.. said he wanted kids when he had a decent income…
I have never heard a guy say anyhing like that in sweden… but it seems so common here… Maybe it is in sweden as well and I have just missed it…
Thats the largest difference I have found between the countries I think… that and the standards of place of living… most bathrooms are moldy… thats unacceptable in most houses in sweden (cant say all coz I have seen one home which was worse than anything I have seen yet) (in shabbyness)
another difference is that an ”apartment” in most places here is a part of a house .. and flatmates are the people living in the other parts of that house..
have you noticed that ppl in this country seem to wanna be married and have kids before the age of 30?
